Audio Books.
This collection consists of unabridged non-fiction and fiction on cassette and CD.
Children's Materials.

The library has children's materials available in a variety of formats including books, magazines, stories and music on cassette and CD, videos, and a variety of collections including board books, picture books, easy/early readers, transitional readers, juv fiction and non-fiction as well as Dorothy Canfield Fisher and Red Clover award winning books.

Computer and Internet Use.
The library has wireless high speed Internet access. Each public access computer has OpenOffice word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, Microsoft PowerPoint, Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browsers, and access to a printer. Bring your laptop and access the Internet using WiFi.

Each month features different events for adults and children from picture book story times to adult book discussions. Check the town newsletter or the Events page of this website for this month's calendar.

If you are looking for a book that you are unable to find in the library you may request that we borrow it from another library (Interlibrary Loan) or that recommend that we purchase it.
Large Print Books.
The library has a rotating collection of large print books.
The library currently subscribes to 20 magazines. These include Better Homes & Gardens, Consumer Reports, Oprah, Eating Well, Family Handyman, Mother Earth News, Scientific American, Sports Illustrated, Time and Vermont Life among others. All magazines circulate for three weeks at a time.
Meeting Space.
Meeting space is available for community organizations. Stop by the library to fill out the application form and get a copy of our building usage policy.
The library displays several newspapers for our patrons to read. These include The Burlington Free Press, The Champlain Business Journal, Essex Reporter, Mountain Gazette, and Seven Days.

The library has several new title lists, and the New York Times Book Review to provide suggestions for recommended reading. You can also use
Reference Service.
The Library has reference materials including dictionaries, maps, and telephone books as well as resources on a variety of other subjects. The library also subscribes to an Internet database called Vermont Online Library. Reference inquiries are accepted in person or by phone at 802-878-5639. Reference questions are also accepted via email.
Senior Services.
Westford Public Library has many services for seniors including document delivery, large print books, audio books, community programs and resources for seniors, and an accessible entry ramp and bathroom.
The Vermont materials are located throughout the collection and marked with a green strip on the spine. The collection contains materials about Westford, Chittenden County & Vermont history -- past and present. These materials include books, periodicals, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, videos, and children's resources.

Vermont Online Library
The Westford Library subscribes to this online database available for use by library patrons. Thomson-Gale databases available free 24/7 from the library, your home, or work computers. Magazine, journals, and newspapers for research complete with abstracts and full text articles. Database is extremely valuable for elementary, middle, high school students as well as adults. Call the library to obtain the password and then simply click on the link to begin.
Video/DVD Collection.
A large collection of children's, feature, and special interest videos and DVDs are available for check out for one week.
